The question is, what to do next? Whether to stay in the Dominican Republic or go somewhere else? Because if I have to spend money anyway, why not see more places?
These are my options:
- USA - I lived in New York for two years so it would be cool to go and visit friends and see some concerts. Maybe I can even arrange a gig for myself. The problem with New York is that it’s crazy expensive and I won’t have a moment to myself because i’ll be meeting with friends the whole time.
- Canada - I did not live there but I also have great friends over there who would be really cool to visit.
- Europe - The ultimate goal of my trip is still to reach Europe in late June so maybe I should just get on flight and get to Europe sooner than planned. There it is also very expensive but there are shitloads of shows. Maybe I'll go straight to Hamburg and try to settle there before my trip in Europe. Hamburg has an incredible music scene which I really wanna be a part of. Besides music, they have a great tech scene, so maybe I can even push my startup.
The next days will probably be about digging through the internet in search of the ultimate destination and sending countless emails in search of potential buck or two. The most plausible thing is that I'll start with a week or two in the U.S. and Canada and then fly to Hamburg or Norway, I have good friends there and a chance to work. I'll stay there for a month or so and then in June I’ll go to London to start the festival season. Seems like a legitimate plan to me. I’ll keep you posted in the coming days.
Beyond that, some good news.
Today my album is available for download from iTunes, Google Play and other online stores. Here is an idea, why don’t you and your friends buy my album and then I’ll have some money and you’ll have great playlist. I highly recommend it.
A tip for conclusion. Be careful of the “greens”, those who worship the environment, for although they will do “everything possible” to save the planet, they’ll fuck you on the way. Specially of those who have dreadlocks, rope sandals and play folk - blues on acoustic guitar while turning every chorus to a verse and vice versa. Save the Planet, Fuck the People.
That’s it for me now, Rum is being poured.
